We are cleaning out the back of our warehouse - this is being sold in as is good used non playing condition needing a tweak.  Pictured is the actual item you will get so please look at the pictures closely.
This is a cool vintage mellophone!
Physically this horn is in very nice condition.  It certainly has some wear to the finish (approximately 06-65% of silver finish remaining) and will need repair/adjustments for the first valve. The overall physical condition is good with some dents and dings.  The horn has light general player wear with light surface scratches and minor dents/dings.  One or more of the valves are not functioning properly and some of the tuning slides are stuck.  Valve number one is stuck in the down position.  Numbers two and three work sjust fine we were just unable to get one to move.  Based on what I can see once the first valve is fixed the instrument should play.  The back bell bow has a light dent and the leadpipe has light to medium general wear with a patch on it.  The bell has minor dents and dings with minor bell edge dents and no evidence of bell dent removal/repair.  There are three or four re-solders on the horn at the lead pipe to valve brace, lyre receiver and lead pipe brace.  No mouthpiece is included. The tip of the pinkie hook is broken off and it looks like it has a gold wash bell. It comes in a good used condition case.  Engraved on the horn is "Made-By-C.G. Conn-Ltd. Elkhart-Ind. U.S.A." on the bell with the Naked Lady Cleavage Engraving. The dial on the converter works flawlessly turning from Eb to F so with the little bit of work this should make for a really nice Mellophone!

Damage during Outbound Shipping: In the unfortunate chance your item is damaged, the following procedure must be followed exactly in order to process a refund. Failure to comply with the following procedures constitutes a violation of the return policy and therefore a refund will not be given. Please contact us immediately. Save everything, including the box, packing materials, and shipping label. Without the original box and packing materials, a claim cannot be made, and a refund will not be issued. Take a full set of pictures so the damage can be assessed. Don’t send anything back yet until we contact our insurance company.  We will tell you when you may ship the item back.  Please see instructions for return shipping below. If it is determined that the item was damaged in shipping, we will send you a return shipping label via eBay Messages.  Refunds will not be issued for merchandise, which has been damaged while in your possession.

Damage during Return Shipping:  The item will be inspected upon return and if the item is damaged during return shipping, we will contact you so you can file an insurance claim.  Because you are the shipper, we cannot initiate a claim.  Depending upon how much damage was sustained you may only get a partial refund or no refund due to the damage.

Please use the original packing material and box.  Please use original packing material inside the case around the item.  Also use the original packing material around the case in the box to protect the item from shipping damage. If your item does not have a case, please use all packing material that the item came with to protect the item from shipping damage.

Uninsured packages or items shipped “COD” or “Shipping Due” will be refused and a refund will not be issued.

Once the item is received, we will conduct a physical inspection. This inspection will determine your eligibility for a refund.
