Old Unusual Green Swirled Bakelite Heart Necklace on Metal Box Chain GF Clasp

This unusual necklace features 8 swirled green bakelite hearts that measure 3/4" tall x almost 7/8" wide and 3/8" thick. The box chain measures 12" long and has 1 1/4" long subchains that hold the hearts. The clasp is 1/20 gold filled but not sure if the entire chain is because of some green oxidation along a few of the links. The chain is in good condition with the exception of a couple difficult individual links. The subchains are not box chains and the hearts do not match up evenly to the opposite side when hanging but maybe it was just made that way. Note that each heart seems to be missing a round insert on the front and there are round holes (less than 1/4") in the top of each heart. A Q-tip fits perfectly in it to give you some scope of size. A really nice vintage piece. Ca. 1930s. Good luck!
