A Little About The Prototype ICE 4...
In 2011, Deutsche Bahn AG commissioned Siemens Mobility to build up to 300 new high-speed trains for use in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The new trainsets of the BR 412/812, jointly developed by Siemens and Bombardier, are powered by several so-called Powercars. The design of the BR 412/812 allows for various configurations of five- to fourteen-car trains. This design allows the train to be quickly adapted to the individual needs of the various railroad companies for the desired acceleration, speed, and number of seats.
